Azkals new roster to play against Perth FC

The Philippines Azkals are going to play with a new roster for AFF Suzuki Cup later this year when clashing with Australian club Perth Glory FC on 26th July at in the artificial pitch of the just built Quirino Stadium in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

Thomas Dooley, Azkals coach, is currently in United States for some personal reasons has assigned Aris Caslib the chief deputy to take care of the shots for the team to prepare for the Suzuki Cup coming in November.

Caslib raised hands for Jim Ashley Flores and Fitch Arboleda of Stallion, Shirmar Felongco of Kaya, Camelo Tacusalme of JP Voltes and Jess Melliza of Green Archers United.

Caslib said:
“The general framework of the game is to test some new players, especially those who were part of the U-23 team before,” “We wanted to have all the players, but with the situation now, we just have to make do with the best players available.”

Even Azkals manager Dan Palami is excited about new players. As the game is not falling for FIFA event, clubs are free on not to release players for the game against Perth.

Hence, Ceres-La Salle planned to hold back Stephan Schrock, Manny Ott, Martin Steuble and Patrick Reichelt as the players rest after an exhausting first round campaign in the United Football League.
Players from team that beat North Korea last year March are James Younghusband, Simone Rota, Nick O’Donnell, Dennis Villanueva OJ Clarino, Miguel Tanton, and Misagh Bahadoran.

The news of Phil Younghusband returning to national team for the first time since the match against Bahrain in October last year is also wandering.

Azkals want to improve its position for AFF with these new recruits. The team has never made it to finals in any AFF seasons, during 2010 AFF Championship the team reached semi-finals for the first time.
