Davon Potts scored 25 points to lead the San Beda Red Lions in an 85-74 win over the Mapua Cardinals on Thursday in the NCAA Season 92 Tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Potts was consistent in providing the offensive attacks for the Red Lions who won their sixth victory and remain undefeated. Robert Bolick had a game of his own with 10 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
After the Red Lions controlled the game in the second quarter with a 29-15 spurt to have a 45-35 lead, they never looked back and even lead as many as 20 points throughout the game.
Moreover, AC Soberano played well by finishing 17 points while Javee Mocon aded 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Red Lions. With the win, the Red Lions stay on top of the NCAA standings.
Meanwhile, the Mapua Cardinals dropped into 5-2 record but they are still contenders for the season. Allwell Oraeme scored 21 points and grabbed 20 rebounds for Mapua.
Andrew Estrella complimented with 14 points while Justin Serrano delivered nine points for Mapua.
