Pocari Sweat captures their First-Ever V-League Crown

Final game of 13th Shakey’s V-League provided dramatic actions at Pasig City with battle shifting towards Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors after outlasting Air Force Lady Jet Spikers in four set in the 13th Open Conference Championship held at Philsports Arena on Monday.
It was a nerve-wracking do-or-die Game 3 between Pocari Sweat and Air Force, while Lady Warrior proved themselves as a “Comeback Queens” winning with a track record of 29-27, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19. The Game 3 started off with a bang where Air Force was leading, however Pocari Sweat bounced back massively in the third and fourth quarter and took home the trophy happily.
Pocari star, Myla Pablo once again proved that she is best for the team, firing 23 points out of which 21 came from kill as the team posted 2-1 series win over Lady Jet Spikers. Pablo is a former National U Star scoring 19 points for the team 17-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-20 winning in Game 2 last Saturday was honoured with Finals MVP award.
Rommel Abella the interim coach of team said:

“We were coming of a 0-1 deficit in the finals and never won against Air Force in our two games but we came back by fighting hard and we were rewarded with a championship.”
Pocari Sweat that lost to Air Force in series opener last week had to fight back from 0-1 deficit to this win. Just like Finals, Pocari had to fight their position against Bali Pure in Semi-finals before making it to Finals.
As expected Elaine Kasilag supported Pablo with 15 points while skipper veteran Michelle Gumabao fired 12 hits, including 2 blocks. Lutgarda Malaluan had 8 markers and Gyselle Sy added 7 points, the last two wrapping up towards championship trophy.
