Teng scores 30 to lead Flying V whips Tanduay

Jeron Teng sccored 13 of his 30 points in the second half to help Flying V beat Tanduay, 104-89, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena.

Through the aggressiveness of Teng, Flying V distanced itself against Tanduay in the second half. As a matter of fact, this is the third time in the PBA D-League that Teng reached 30 points. Because of the win the Flying V Thunder are on top of the standings.

“We knew that in the first half the defense was concentrated on Jeron,” said Thunder coach Eric Altamirano. “So we wanted to move the ball around first and be unpredictable.”

Thomas Torres had 18 points, four assists and three rebounds while Eric Salama added 14 points.

Teng bounced back after scoring only 11 points in the previous game. Teng helped the Thunder in a 19-4 run as they have a 61-60 lead in the third quarter.
