UEFA Champions League 2020-21
Juventus and Barcelona as reported by Calciomercato, both giants were considering another mega swap deal after trading Miralem Pjanic and Arthur in the summer.
Both European giants are allegedly plotting a swap deal which will entail Antoine Griezmann joining Juventus and Paulo Dybala moving in the opposite direction to Camp Nou.
In the most recent transfer window, Juventus and Barcelona shocked fans when they swapped Miralem Pjanic and Arthur.
Back in June this year, Barcelona announced they had reached an arrangement with Juventus for the transfer of Arthur to a five-year contract for $72 million, and $10 million in factors. The deal also contained Miralem Pjanic heading in the opposite direction, together with the Catalans paying $60 million to the Bosnian midfielder.

Arthur has gone on to become one of the most dependable players at the Juventus squad, while Pjanic has also emerged as a key player for Ronald Koeman within his Barcelona team.
Both clubs are now researching the option of swapping talismanic forwards Antoine Griezmann and Paulo Dybala.
Why Antoine Girezmann and Paulo Dybala were not happy at their respective clubs?
Paulo Dybala was heavily linked with a move from Juventus last summer but chose to stay at The Old Lady and struggle for his place. The Argentine emerged out of the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo last season and proceeded to win the Most Valuable Player award for its 2019-20 season.
Andre Pirlo Juventus’s boss was not impressed by Dybala’s performance. Dybala has dropped down the pecking order at Juventus and has made just four starts this year.
Antoine Girezmann, on the other hand, has had a horrid time in Barcelona since making the change from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 but what concerns the most was that the French striker only managed to score only 9 goals in 35 La Liga appearances for the Catalans in 2019-20 season.
Ronald Koeman and the Barcelona hierarchy were hoping that Griezmann will be able to eventually refind his goal-scoring form this season. However, the 29-year-old’s battles in front of the goal seem to be ongoing.

A potential swap deal could be on the cards, but will most likely take place next summer, instead of in the January transfer window.
Griezmann is reportedly unhappy with life at Camp Nou and is prepared to take his services elsewhere. Barcelona is also looking for a permanent replacement for Lionel Messi, and Paulo Dybala could be the solution.
