Away actually bought by Netflix in 2018 for the first time. The series was inspired by the one-year stay at the International Space Station of 2015-2016, headed by Astronaut Scott Kelly and cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko. The show was originally expected to consist of 10 episodes with a probable budget above $6 million for each. Right now, it’s just a NO. Just over one month after it was released, Netflix canceled the series. The streaming service does not currently reveal whether Away will be returning for the second season.
