If some fans disapproved of the shot-shot staging of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck in Captain Marvel 2, Marvel Studios have just confirmed the recruitment of Nia DaCosta behind the camera! If you will soon be able to have a glimpse of her talent with Candyman – to be discovered in theaters from September 30 – the director should give Captain Marvel 2 a second wind. This is not the only good news announced by the studios: the casting of Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan is confirmed. Iman Vellani will play the character first in the Ms. Marvel series on Disney + and then join the plot of Captain Marvel 2.

Finally, the addition of Monica Rambeau as an adult is also confirmed by Marvel! Teyonah Parris will therefore play the daughter of Maria Rambeau, first in the WandaVision series and then in the second opus on the solo adventures of Carol Danvers. If all this news has something to rejoice the fans, they will, however, have to be patient because the release date of the blockbuster has just been postponed! Captain Marvel 2 will hit theaters on November 11, 2022, instead of July 8. It remains to be seen if the film with Brie Larson will avoid these two mistakes of the previous Captain Marvel installment.
