It first hit screens in 2019. There was a lot of controversy over the story, which was based on high school and allowed for sex, drugs, and violence. While some may have missed the point, the show allowed other issues such as addiction and abuse to be explored in depth. The majority of viewers could not get enough of it. The production of the second season began in March 2021. Filming started in April. We don’t have much time to wait until the new Euphoria episodes. Zendaya teased the new season while marking the 2nd anniversary of the airing of the first episode.

What Is The Plot Of The Second Season?

Zendaya revealed that Zendaya wrote the script for the second series. Rue is seen relapsing and experimenting with drugs again in the Christmas specials. Jules’ mother is a recovering addict. Her mother, however, ends up in hospital. Jules also plans not to continue her hormone replacement therapy.

Rue starts to feel better and begins therapy. Jules meets her and tries to understand why she left. Rude, however, abruptly leaves Jules in tears. It is not known what Rue and Jules will do in season 2. Rue’s journey to overcome drug addiction and maintain her friendships with her friends will continue to be the focus of her attention.

Cast members have been confirmed to return for Season 2. They include Zendaya (Rue Bennet), Maude Apatow (Lexi Howard), Hunter Schafer (Jules Vaughn), Angus Cloud (“Fezco”), Alexa “Maddy”, Alexa “Demie” Perez, Eric Dane, and Cal Jacobs. Jacob Elordi is Nathaniel Jacobs. Barbie Ferreira plays Katherine Hernandez. Storm Reid plays Gia Bennett. Algee Smith portrays Christopher McKay, Sydney Sweney, Colmandomingo) and Colman Domingo plays Ali.

When Will The Second Season Release?

Unfortunately, Euphoria has yet to release the second season. The production of the second season was to have begun in 2020. However, it was put on hold due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which caused many television and film productions to cease. Eric Dane later revealed that production began in March 2021. The first season of filming took eight months. So, the second season could premiere in early 2022.

It will only be a matter of time before Rue’s story in the second season unfolds, but it will be exciting for fans!
