After the usual end-of-season event that is held by Epic Games for their Battle Royale, Fortnite woke up today in what is their Season 5 of Chapter 2. This season is nicknamed “Point Zero”, and with it we have many news, which still remain directly linked to Disney.

Marvel’s “heroes are gone” and the famous Mandalorian arrives, accompanied by the beloved Baby Yoda … and yes, this season seems to be based on Star Wars.

Anyone who buys this season’s Battle Pass will be able to unlock characters like a former warrior and a sci-fi hunter who appears to have come out of a manga, Tsutomu Nihei, in addition to a creature called “Mancake the Fighting Flapjack”.

In addition to the characters we have new locations, including a jungle area and a sci-fi desert caused by the explosion of ground zero. Nor would it be normal for there to be no new weapons in this new season, and season 5 additions include the Dragon’s Breath shotgun, the Mandalorian Amban sniper rifle and the Night Hawk, which allows you to track your opponents.

Then there is what appears to be the biggest change in the game, its new mission structure. But here is the firm as Epic describes them:

Help to hire

As a hunter, it is your duty to help the island’s characters in their new unstable reality. Take on their missions and rewards, get information about your surroundings or hire them to be your allies. Don’t want to negotiate? Challenge them to a duel and reap the rewards.

Spend your salary

The new characters accept only one form of payment: bars! Earn bars by completing missions and rewards, eliminating players or finding hidden stocks around the Island. Spend your earned bars on new exotic weapons, updates, information, services and more.

Epic also spoke of “even more reality hunters”, suggesting that additional licensed characters are on the way. Considering that the company worked with everyone from Marvel to Star Wars, DC and NFL to musicians like Travis Scott and Marshmello, these “hunters” could be anyone.
