Love Alarm Season 2: Cast, Plot, Release Date And More Recant Updates

Since the release of Love Alarm on Netflix, fans have been eagerly waiting for the second season of the Korean rom-com. Based on the Daum webtoon of the same name, Love Alarm was a  trending K drama on Netflix with an IMDB rating of 7.4/10 and was the most talked about show among teenagers and young adults. Its renewal also comes as a surprise for the fans as Korean Dramas usually don’t produce more than one season. The show renewed for a second season on October 29, 2019.

The show is directed by Jiyoung Park for Studio Dragon, is written by Lee Ah-yeon (Season 1), Seo Bo-ra (Season 1-2), Kim Sae-bom and Cleofe P-Aseqia (Season 1-2).

The Cast Of Love Alarm Season 2

The rom-com features Kim So Hyun as Kim Jo-jo, Song Kang as Hwang Sun-oh and Jung Ga-ram as Lee Hye-yeong.

Season 2 may have new cast members added to the show, but the names have not been revealed yet by the makers.

The Plot Of Love Alarm Season 2

The show narrates the story of a dating which alerts it users in case a person who is within 10 meters radius likes them. Childhood besties Hwang Sun-oh and Lee Hye-yeong enroll for the Love Alarm programme, to try their luck in finding love, and end up falling for the same girl Kim Jo-jo. Jo-jo is treated as an outsider at school and wanted to find someone who could be her friend and a lover. She soon finds herself in a love triangle amidst her personal issues and doesn’t know how to cope up with it. This disrupts the life of Jo-jo.

The show elucidates on how technology creates a modern approach in finding love. It also explores the dilemma of the main characters of a choice between years of friendship and new found love.

The Release Date Of Love Alarm Season 2

The K-Drama was set to return for a second season in August, 2020 but as the corona virus crisis has affected the entertainment industry to a large extent, this show was also delayed because of it. Sources say the show will premiere by mid 2021 on Netflix.
