The retirement of both the players from international cricket was shocking and it surprised the whole nation. MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina both had joined Chennai Super Kings pre-season camp on that day and waited for a while to announce their decisions, but they chose the Independence Day for the same.
Considering the reason behind it was very special. It is related to the 73rd year of independence. The former Indian Captain jersey number is 7 and jersey of Raina holds the number 3 on it, combining them together becomes 73. A tweet for the same was round the social media throughout the day.
Both the players are currently part of the camp in Chennai. The camp was started on August 15 and will end on the 20th of this month. Chennai Super King will leave for UAE on August 21 as scheduled for IPL 2020. This year the whole IPL will be played in UAE because of the global pandemic.
