Road Safety World Series 2021: India Legends thrashed Bangladesh Legends by 10 wickets

In the first match of the World Road Safety World Series, India Legends thrashed Bangladesh Legends by 10 wickets. The two teams were face-to-face in the inaugural bout at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur on Friday night. Bangladesh Legends captain Mohammad Rafique won the toss and decided to bat first. In front of the killer bowling of Pragyan Ojha and Yuvraj Singh, the entire Bangladeshi team was all out for just 109 runs. For India, Ojha, Yuvraj, and R Vinay Kumar got 2-2 wickets. In response, the Indian team won the match by 10 wickets in 10.1 overs.

Sehwag scored 80 off 35 balls

Seeing Virender Sehwag’s game, he never felt that he had passed away for a long time. His timing still looked great. He finished the match by hitting Khalid Mehmood for a deep mid-wicket for six. During this, Veeru completed his half-century in just 20 balls, which is the fastest half-century in the history of the Road World Safety Series.

Sachin Tendulkar also played brilliantly with Veeru’s 10 fours and five sixes. Sachin also scored 33 runs in 26 balls, with his five fours, the Raipurites rose up. The duo also broke the record for the largest partnership for the first wicket in the Powerplay. India’s next take on England on 9 March. Tomorrow the Sri Lankan Legends and West Indies Legends teams will be face to face.

The tournament postponed due to Corona is now being completed

The Road Safety World Series started in Pune on March 11 last year, but the country suffered a lockdown due to the corona epidemic. In such a situation, the series was postponed after playing just four matches. Now the same series is being restarted, this time the tournament is being held in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.
