Will There Be “The Outsider” Season 2?
The viewership of The Outside made it the most-watched series on HBO for the past 3 years. It even managed to surpass series like Watchmen and True Detective. However, despite the odds being in their favor, HBO has decided to cancel The Outsider Season 2. Since the ownership of the show is in the hands of MRC, there is a chance that the show can come back. MRC already is on the lookout for a streaming platform to take the show up.
PlotĀ
Stephen King’s The Outsider was mostly covered in season one. Season one ended with the end of the book. However, some clues indulge viewers for a season two. Stephen King immediately solved the problem of content with the release of another book. “If It Bleeds” is a collection of four novellas. One of the stories includes the return of Holly Gibney and Ralph Anderson. This story could be the foundation for season 2.
CastĀ
Ben Mendelsohn as Ralph Anderson and Cynthia Erivo as Holly Gibney will return if there ever is a season two. They are the main characters of this story. Ralph’s wife Jeannie played by Mare Winningham and State Police ally Sablo played by Yul Vazquez will probably return as they did not face the gates of death in the finale.
Although the end of Stephen King’s novel did not involve the return of characters from the dead, it might be possible in The Outsider Season 2. In that case, Jason Batemen, Bill Camp, Marc Menchaca, Andy Katcavage, Seale Bolton and Alec Pelley can return for season two.
