Compeitition: UEFA Nations League
Date: Nov 19, 2020
Venue: Stadion Śląski
The Netherlands travel to Poland for the clash at the Silesian Arena in Chrozow on Wednesday evening.
On Sunday, The Dutch got their first win under head coach Frank de Boer, as they dominated Bosnia and Herzegovina in a match they won 3-1.
Dutch skipper Gini Wijnaldum scored twice in that game before Memphis Depay made another goal in the second half.
In the previous match between these two teams, which was held in Amsterdam in September, the Dutch earned a narrow 1-0 win, as a result of a goal from Steven Bergwijn.
Both Poland and the Netherlands do still harbour hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of this Nations League but are equally dependent on Bosnia and Herzegovina to do them a favour at the other match in Group A1 against Italy.
A draw game could be enough for the Dutch to go through, should they beat Poland, while the hosts will require a Bosnian win to go with them beating the Oranje.
Poland was in a position of control in the group prior to their final game, but their 2-0 loss to the Azzurri in their last match, which has left them in a delicate place in the group.
