Netflix’s latest romantic drama “Virgin River,” which premiered its first season on December 6, returns earlier than expected with a second season. The series starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson will have 10 chapters just like the first and arrives today, November 27, on Netflix.

Synopsis Season 1

Melinda Monroe wants to start over and leave Los Angeles, so she answers an ad to work as a nurse in Virgin River, a remote northern California town near the Rocky Mountains. Once there she discovers that life is not as simple as she expected. She will learn to heal her emotional wounds, but also, she will find something and someone that will motivate her to stay.

How Season 1 ended

In the latest episode of “Virgin River”, Charmaine pressures Jack to make a decision about whether to continue with her and the child they expect. Hope escapes the news and tells Mel and her world is reeling again. Mel decides to leave and Jack tries to convince her to stay with him by promising to help her overcome her past but she insists that she needs time to assimilate it. He calls his sister and tells her that he is coming home.

Paige tells the truth about her past to Preacher. While in Jack’s bar, she sees someone suspicious who could be her ex-husband and when she goes to look for Page she finds the door open and blood on the floor. What happened to him?

What awaits us in Season 2

We know little about what will happen in season 2 but as Netflix has announced we will have “Commitment. Babies. Heartbreak Murder. For a small town, Virgin River has a good dose of drama, and Mel Monroe is often in the middle of it all.

From what we see in the trailer, Mel finally left Virgin River and returns unexpectedly. She wants to keep her distance with Jack but the chemistry between them is inevitable.
