After giving back to back critically and commercially acclaimed seasons of American adult black comedy, live action-animation “Happy!”, there is guesswork going on by the fans whether a season three of the show is around the corner or not?
This series has received a rating of 8.2/10 on the IMDB’s website and a rating of 84% by Rotten Tomatoes. It is created by Grant Morrison and is based on the comic book series of the same name and author, and is directed by Brian Taylor. The show premiered on 6th December 2020 on Syfy and is available for streaming for the Indian audiences exclusively on Netflix.
The Cast
The show features Christopher Meloni as Nick Sax and Patton Oswalt as the voice of Happy, who is an imaginary winged Unicorn, as prominent characters. Other characters include:

The Plot
Nick Sax is a former cop turned Hitman, is cynical and completely submerged into alcohol and drugs, and lives as a depressed social outcast. One day he after sustaining a massive heart attack, he comes in contact with an imaginary unicorn named Happy who asks for Nick’s help in rescuing his creator and friend, a little girl named Hailey.
Hailey has been kidnapped by a man who dressed as Santa Claus (very bad Santa.) Though initially skeptical, Nick realizes that Hailey is his estranged daughter and promises Happy to help rescue her and be a hero in her eyes.
What then is revealed is a massive global conspiracy of child sex trafficking, aliens, Gods, sex cults, and a lot of crazy stuff. God is described here as the “imaginary friend of the whole civilization.”
The release date
Unfortunately, the adult black comedy has been canceled after two seasons by Syfy on 4th June 2019. There seem to be very few chances of the show coming back on the air. Nevertheless, the two seasons of Happy! Are available on Netflix for streaming in India.
