World Test Championship Update: After the England vs West-Indies Test series there is a big change happen in the point table of the World Test Championship. England is now at Number 3 position in the points table of the World Test Championship after winning the Test Series against West-Indies.

World Test Championship Update – Big Change in Points Table of World Test Championship

World Test Championship is a tournament or league competition for Test Cricket which is run by ICC (International Cricket Council). It is like a premier championship league for Test Cricket like other formats of cricket are. It started on 1 August 2019 & will end from 10 June 2021 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

England came at number 3 position in the point table of the World Test Championship after winning the 3rd & last test match against West-Indies. England crushed the West-Indies team by 269 runs at Old Trafford Cricket Stadium in Manchester.

The World Test Championship is a championship where all the test teams in the world will play 27 test series in the tournament & each team will play 6 Test Series. Out of 27 Test Series, only 2 Test series will have 5 Test matches. In which one was the Ashes & the 2nd 5 matches tests will happen between England & India in 2021.

India in World Test Championship

India had started its tour in World Test Championship against the West-Indies on 14 August 2019. Then India played 3 Test match series against South Africa & then India played against Bangladesh and so on. after playing 9 matches in the Word Test Championship Indian team won 7 Test Matches out of them. India is topping the list of the World Test Championship point table by winning 7 Test matches with the points of 360 points.

When The Final of the World Test Championship will Happen?

The final of the World Test Championship will happen when all the teams will play all their games and the top two teams in the point table of the World Test Championship will play the finals the tournament. The final of the tournament will happen at the home of the Cricket, on 10 June 2021 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

All the Test matches involving the teams like Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan will play in the two years of the World Test Championship period, will not be the part of the ICC World Test Championship. but it will be count in the Test ranking.
